LDMGOC 2026 AGM Prize Winners.

Welcome to the 2026 Luton and Dunstable MG Owners Club AGM Trophy award winners .

At our yearly AGM we award members of the Luton and Dunstable MG Owners Club that have made significant contributions in the following:

  • Club Member(s) of the year,
  • Club Vehicle of the year,
  • Mentioned in Dispatches Award,
  • Foreign Breakdown trophy,
  • Overall Breakdown of the Year trophy.

Trophy Winners:

Club Member(s) of the year.

This years winners were Dave and Trish Gregory.

Dave and Trish bring not only some of the most beautiful cars to our show but each one of them has so many interesting stories relating to classic car motoring adventures.

Club Vehicle of the year.

This years winner was our Mazda Bongo support vehicle, which attended both days of our 40th Birthday at Knebworth, running AV presentations of club cars and MG Adverts and media.

Mentioned in Dispatches Award:

This years winner David Robinson for his amazing work planning the parking solution for our clubs yearly show at the Cross Keys.

Without Dave’s expert skills the parking at the show would have been much harder for both the stewards and the exhibitors.

Breakdown Awards:

Anyone who owns a car, even a modern car, knows that the risk of a breakdown is ever present.

Owners of classic cars more so, unfortunately a love of classic motoring and faith in our trusty mechanical friends sometimes isn’t enough to avoid the inevitable.

Our members, winners of the next awards, are simply placeholders for everyone of us who drives a classic car.

We all know that sooner or later, we will be holding some of this precious silverware..

Foreign Breakdown Trophy

This years winner Pam managed to make the finish line (with a little help) at the St Patrick’s Day parade.

Nomination for the Foreign win came from the St Patrick’s day organisers, recognising the indomitable spirt displayed by Pam on the day.

Overall Breakdown of the Year Trophy:

Winner Paul Merryweather, who along with Pam collected their awards with good grace and humour.

In closing, we also thanked Janet for the amazing work carried out as Club Treasurer and for organising the Wednesday Wanderers.

Thanks was also given to Ingrid for her amazing hand made place cards for the Club Xmas dinner and to Gary for his stewardship of the club.
