Welcome to the 4th of February Luton & Dunstable MGOC Newsletter.

Welcome everyone to our 2025 AGM Meeting.

• An Inspection of the 4 gazebos is needed to check if still fit for purpose and purchase a
smaller / lighter one that would fit into an MGB.
• Consider doing more runs/tours and holidays.
• Voting in of club officials – Secretary – Gary Winter, Treasurer – Janet Hawkins.
• Awarding of Trophies – Members – Glyn and Lynda, Car – David Adams MGB, MiD –

AGM Agenda

Subs are to be increased to £10 PP for 2025 after reviewing the accounts and the purchase of
a new easy erect 3×3 Coleman gazebo (+1 side).

We have lost the emergency 3×3 gazebo (at Sywell) and retired the two older Coleman gazebos which were no longer fit for use, saving the sides and some of the useful bits as spares).

A replacement 4×4 gazebo maybe needed.

Financial Report – Attached Below: Review (proposer and seconder) and any questions.

Voting in Club officials – Treasurer and Secretary. We have had no nominations for either
post, so will proceed with a vote at the live meeting.

Wednesday Wanderers Report:

A lunch trip to the Horse and Jockey – we had 16 members, 2 in classic MG’s as the sun was
out.

However, the temperature was a bit low for the tops to be down, this seemed prudent for January!

We had a good meal, even better natter, and get together.

The next Wednesday Wanderings will be: TBC.

Meal suggestion is the Royal Oak in Fritham – SO43 7HJ on the Sunday.

Events coming up:

Club stands will be booked if the organisers of the shows permit it.

However, the recent trend is for organisers to only allow individuals to book online with various options for the club stand option.

For instance, the club name for the Chiltern Hills Rally is “Club Name,” and a club code is issued
for Kimbolton.

Some shows are turn-up only, while a few are display by age.

We will do our best to inform you of how and when to book your tickets well in advance, where possible.

St Patrick’s Day Parade is on Saturday the 15th of March – I have reached out to the
other local MGOC secretaries to see if anyone wants to join in the parade and so far
we have the Bedford MGOC as well as the CVPG interested and a few cars already
entered.

Shows for the 2025 calendar:

If you have any details, please email me and I will add them to the list of possibilities – we will compile the calendar in March and publish it onto our website www.LDMGOC.com.
