Club Business.

I need a lead for the Luton Festival of Transport and a volunteer to pick up the gazebo as I
won’t be around for this show.

1st test of the New Gazebo will be at Chiltern Hills….camera’s at the ready!

Wednesday Wanderers Report.

Report of Wednesday wanderings and next planned event TBC:

Our April outing had 9 faithful members in two B’s, two F’s and a Midget. From
Gypsy Lane we took a rural and leafy drive via Wheathampstead to the Green
Dragon pub in London Colney. As it was quite hot, we sat inside and enjoyed a
good meal. Then we all made our different ways home.

The next club events:

Chiltern Hills – Sunday 18th May – Booking required – meeting point will be Greggs at
Dunstable at 08:00am this should allow us time to get in and set up before the 10:00am Club
Stand’s requirement.

No late entries will be allowed onto a club stand after 10am

Luton Festival of Transport – 1st June we need a volunteer to pick up the Gazebo and club
flag and Banner but as per past years event its just turn up – Tickets in advance are £10 (£15
on the day)

Can I have a lead for this event as I will be away on the Clubs weekend break.

Classics at the Compasses – Wednesday 21st May starts at 18:00

Pub Night will be at The Jolly Coopers, Ward Hedges, Wardhedges, Bedfordshire,
MK45 5ED – Tel 01525 862777 on Tuesday 20th May (around 20:30 or earlier if dining).

Club Holiday

The club weekend break to the new forest is nearly upon us – we can have a get together for
any final final points or issues after this meeting. Convoy up and best routes discussion?

Brian has proposed a Club holiday to the IoW next year in June and we have details but just
need to sort them out.

The other option is the IoM which I’ve wanted to do since before lock
down, but this may be costlier and more driving – what are your thoughts?

Events Page:

Club stands will be booked if the organisers of the shows allow, however the recent trend is for organisers to only allow individuals to book on-line with various options employed for the club stand, examples are:- Club Name for Chiltern Hills Rally and a club code issued for Kimbolton .

Some shows are turn up only and a few are display by age – we will endeavour to advise you of how and when to book your tickets well in advance where possible.

Chiltern Hills Vintage Vehicle Rally is on the 18th May – There is a new club attendance process
and Tickets are £10 for the Driver and one passenger, you need a Club Ticket please enter ‘Luton &
Dunstable MGOC’ as the NAME OF CAR CLUB YOU WANT TO BE PART OF then advise me
that you have purchased your ticket so I can add you to my list of attendees. We have a club stand
booked.

The New Forest Run – 1st June – Club weekend break from the 30th May to the 2nd June. Those
going should have NFR tickets and hotel rooms sorted now. Ive reserved a table for 18:30 on Friday
and am awaiting a menu to pre-book meals so we are not waiting…

The Luton Someries Festival of Transport now clashes with the club holiday (1st June) can I have a

Park and Classic Stony..Turn up from 8:00am for LFoT

this clashes with the Wingfield Show. We are doing both shows again and I will lead on Winfield

to sort out Gazebos etc.
